What is it about?

This study reveals the occurrence condition of static stall hysteresis in terms of the aspect ratio for low-aspect-ratio wings at a low Reynolds number. The key finding is that the stall hysteresis occurs when the aspect ratio is within a narrow region of the aspect ratio.

Perspectives

The result in this publication is a new finding for static stall hysteresis for low-aspect-ratio wings. The result presumably can be applied not only for low Reynolds numbers, but also more broad range of the Reynolds number.
