What is it about?

Pipe flow transition was discussed with momentum conservation. The calculated results were compared with past experimental results and showed agreement with them. The critical Reynolds number was calculated and agrred with the experimental results. Puff and slug conditions in force transition also agreed with the present study.

Why is it important?

The pipe flow transitin can be predicted with the conservation of momentum, not degree of disturbance.

Perspectives

We will be able to predict the transition theoretically with this model.
