What is it about?

This essay investigate Philo of Alexandria's concept of Apokatastasis or restoration and explains how it differs from later Christian views of Apokatastasis esp. in Clement, Origen, and Gregory of Nyssa (who posited an eschatological and universal Apokatastasis, and believed in the resurrection, apparently unlike Philo). The essay accounts in a detailed manner for similarities and differences on the grounds of scriptural and philosophical reasons.
