What is it about?

Lots of crustaceans have a specialized set of neurons to create a fast escape from threats. Spiny lobsters don't have these neurons.

Why is it important?

Fast escape responses in crayfish and lobsters are very well understood, and seem to be very useful for animals that can do them. That spiny lobsters - which generally look like crayfish and clawed lobsters - would not have the neurons to make fast escape responses is surprising,
