What is it about?
This article examines how Canadian print news portrays the suicide deaths of Rehtaeh Parsons, Amanda Todd, Jamie Hubley, and Todd Loik. Each of these teens experienced harassment from peers before they died. News coverage progresses over time to create the boundaries that define what counts as cyberbullying and what should be done about it. This research follows the media process of how cyberbullying became recognized as a social problem in Canada.
