What is it about?
We describe a new computer application, "Heart beating," that uses artificial intelligence. The app analyses the combined heart signals from a mother and her fetus to detect possible fetal heart problems, such as a heart rate that is too fast or too slow.

Why is it important?
Finding heart problems in a fetus early can save lives and improve the baby's quality of life. However, there aren't enough medical specialists in Mexico to do this. This AI app could help doctors find these problems faster.
Perspectives
This first version is a test. It was trained using simulated heart signals, not real patients. The next steps are to test and train the app using complex, real-world signals from clinics. This will see if it's strong enough to be used by doctors.
