A newly developed silymarin nanoformulation as a potential antidiabetic agent in experimental diabetes

What is it about?

We reported the developing as well as exploring the potential of a new oral nanoformulation of silymarin-loaded into polymeric nanomicelles, for the first time, to enhance silymarin antidiabetic therapeutic efficacy using STZ-induced diabetic rats. Also, the effect of the new nanosilymarin in improving antioxidants and antihyperlipidemic properties as compared to free drug was evaluated as well as providing mechanism of its action.
