What is it about?

Epigenetic modification by DNA methylation can affect the level of miRNA molecules. DNA methylation and miRNA molecules are detectable in body fluids making them interesting in noninvasive diagnostics of cancer, although some challenges need to be overcome in the development of sensitive and specific tests for cancer screening, disease monitoring, as well as in the targeted personalized therapy.
