Starches are used in tablet production as additives. This work examined water yam starch that is modified and used to make diclofenac tablets. It looked into how modified starch affected the properties of the tablets produced

Quality of tablets produced will inform choice of raw materials chosen for use during manufacture. Thus water yam when pregelatinized performs just as good as corn starch in physical and mechanical quality of produced tablet
