Much is not known about the correct dosing and length of treatment in PD peritonitis, in particular the dosing of patients on automated peritoneal dialysis as opposed to CAPD, and in those with some remaining kidney function.

This topic is important because inadequate dosing in PD peritonitis may lead to failure to resolve or the infection quickly returning.
Perspectives
To me it is frustrating after 40 years of PD, a very successful form of dialysis, we do not know more about treating peritonitis .
