What is it about?
Debate about blood pressure goals in patients with chronic kidney disease has been reignited recently with recent guidelines recommending a lower blood pressure goal of <130/80. We review existing evidence suggesting that more intensive blood pressure lowering reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and death in patients with chronic kidney disease.
