What is it about?

Individuals with kidney disease can gain waiting time for kidney transplantation before they start dialysis if they have health insurance coverage. We show that expanding Medicaid coverage under the Affordable Care Act to include more low income adults increased the number of low income adults with CKD and Medicaid coverage on the kidney transplant waiting list.
