What is it about?
In this retrospective observational study, we used a large-scale Japanese administrative database to estimate the incidence of infectious events after tooth extraction in relation to kidney function. We found that the occurrence of surgical site infections did not increase in the mild and moderate chronic kidney disease(CKD) group, but increased significantly in the severe CKD and hemodialysis groups compared with the non-CKD group.
