What is it about?

Exercise for people living with chronic kidney disease is beneficial for improving our physical function, assist with weight management, reduce cardiovascular risk factors, assist with controlling blood pressure and improve our emotional wellbeing and sleep. As an additional benefit, it is thought that exercise may improve cognitive function which can be impaired to varying degrees in people with CKD, depending on the stage of CKD, treatment modality (dialysis or transplantation) and the presence of other chronic diseases.
