What is it about?
Dialysis patients exhibit a weak seroresponse to vaccines and are at increased risk for morbidity from influenza. In a retrospective analysis of the 201516 and 201617 influenza seasons within a large US dialysis organization we found receipt of the high dose trivalent influenza vaccine (which contains 4 times the Ag dose as the standard dose vaccine) to be associated with reduced hospitalizations as compared with the standard dose trivalent or quadrivalent vaccines in 201617 but not in 201516.
