What is it about?

As the out-of-pocket costs of prescription drugs in the United States are rapidly rising, many patients face financial barriers to accessing medications. In this study, we used nationally representative data to estimate, for the first time, that one in five US adults with kidney disease are nonadherent (e.g., skip, delay, reduce, or forgo) to their medications due to cost concerns.
