HPA Axis in Single- versus Divided-Dose Prednisolone for First Episode Nephrotic Syndrome: An Open Label RCT

What is it about?

Steroid is commonly used in nephrotic syndrome and the current study supports that this should be given early morning and in single dose rather than divided dose. Early morning single dose steroid was found to cause less interference with Hypothalamus- Pitutary - Adrenal axis as well as prolonged the time to first relapse of the disease.
