What is it about?

The authors have performed a series of lab-scale experiments include characterization of aluminum sludge, acidification, and sequential recovery with the characterization of the products. This study will help researchers in the scope of drinking water treatment and recycling and recovery in conducting their research upon or conclusions

Why is it important?

It provides very important information on the recovery and sequential use of the recovered alum from the waste sludge. It also reveals different challenges facing the alum recovery in especially in Egypt opening the door for future research efforts to face these challenges.

Perspectives

I believe that aluminum recovery and reuse in water supply will provide a great opportunity for resources conservation and cost reduction.
