We have discussed graphene and graphene oxide-based materials and their possible applications in the advanced electrochemical devices like supercapacitors, batteries, dye solar cells, organic photovoltaic devices and so on.

Why is it important?
Due to high conductivity and structural stability, graphene and graphene oxide were introduced in the energy generation devices like Fuel cells, dye sensitized solar cells, organic photovoltaic devices and energy storage devices like super capacitors and batteries.
Perspectives
Graphene – a sp2 hybridized 2D structure carbonaceous material which possesses unique properties like stability, abundance, inert and robust layered structure, electrical as well as thermal conductivity etc. received enormous attention and utilized in different advance devices. I hope this book chapter will be interesting and maybe even exciting and providing advanced knowledge in the field of graphene-based smart energy materials.
