What is it about?
Traditional knowledge regarding the favourable aspects of wild edible mushrooms was presented in this study. The study helps in exploring the biodiversity of wild edible mushrooms and its role in the food security, health care, culture of tribal people. The nutritional and medicinal properties of wild edible mushrooms helps us to popularise and use them as functional food.

Why is it important?
Traditional knowledge associated with the use of wild edible mushroom are usually trasmitted orally from one generation to next generation. The mycophilic tribal communities are have rich knowledge related to musroom se and conservation. Threfore use of such tribal wisdom on the sage of wild eible mushrooms among tribes are important.

The publication helps s in reaching to diverse group of people which includes researchers, scientist, accademician, scholars and students. Sharing knowldge is a very important aspect in the growth of science and it helps in formulating new drugs and functional food from these wild foods.
