What is it about?

As regard to the severity of symptoms and the mortality rate ,infants had the least incidence,which can be explained by infants were fed with human breast milk or infant formula feed,which contains polyunsaturated fatty acids like omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids and the medium chain saturated fatty acids which had high antiviral activities against the enveloped viruses.They contribute to the local immunity of gut and the systemic immunity of lungs against the enveloped viruses. Omega 3 fatty acids had potent antiinflammatory effect and can also reduce the risk of thrombosis but should be used with caution in patients receiving anticoagulant therapy. Recent studies had shown the benefits of omega3 fatty acids by switching off the cytokine storm and suppressing the eicosanoid storm which play a significant role in the hyper inflammatory response resulted from corona virus infection. Dietary supplements with polyunsaturated fatty acids,mainly Omega 3 fatty acids , can help to fight against Covid 19 and reduce the severity of symptoms.
