Why is it important?
Development of oral insulin mimetic agent is a big challenge to the Medicinal Chemists worldwide and no such molecule has been developed till date. This work gives a clue about the essential structural features to be incorporated in the molecule to be orally active insulin mimetic agent.
Perspectives
I hope this article will be useful for making long awaited orally active effective insulin mimetic drugs and prove to be useful for mankind.
