In social network analysis, community detection is a prominent activity. The article presents how to find quality communities from social networks by using different optimization function, modular density .

Why is it important?
In community detection , modularity value depict the goodness of community. But it faces the problem of resolution limit. Modular density value of community take care of resolution limit. This paper has used modular density as optimization function. Further for comparing with modularity optimization function, later on modularity value is computed for the obtained community structure so that it can be compared with existing work.
Perspectives
This article gave me the direction of how to think for different work though the area of research has lot of renowned and adopted community detection methods.
