What is it about?
Searching on bioactive compounds which have potential as antibacterial agents. The results showed more insight information on the antibacterial potential of isolated compounds from D. cochinchinensis.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that the potential antibacterial activity of those compounds in alone and in combination against tested bacteria and also might hinder the development of resistance mechanism of pathogenic bacteria. Moreover, the antibacterial activity of those compounds especially against P. acnes, S. sobrinus and S. mutans is being reported for the first time.
Perspectives
This research provides a lot of information about the character of a compound that effective as antibacterial agent based on the structure and kind of substituents of isolated compounds.
