Castor oil is having various medicinal applications including, antiulcer, antimicrobial, bone degeneration, wound healing, immune-booster etc. Recent use of castor oil and its derivatives in various cosmetic, agricultural and industrial applications, such as, lubricants, bioadhesive, polishing agents, insecticides, fertilizer, biodiesel production and its use as vehicles for various drug delivery systems have piqued the interest in this area.
