What is it about?

This research work uses a multi-phase model developed for a sand-crude oil and water system to control sand-induced corrosion

Featured Image

Why is it important?

Flow mechanisms were established for the different flow conditions which helped to simulate areas of the pipe that were prone to sand corrosion

Perspectives

The work is very unique as there was no known mechanism for sand-induced corrosion prior to this research. The model finds its origin in an existing two-phase model for sand-crude oil system.
