What is it about?

Why is it important?
The study suggests that individuals with T2DM age differently from healthy counterparts. The tightness of glycemic control in terms of glycated hemoglobin should be achieved to decrease the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
Perspectives
The findings of this study would facilitate to build the knowledge in T2DM patients about how the poor glycemic control will have a risk for age-related decline in functionality in addition to the complication of hyperglycemia. The outcome of this study will also aid to create awareness in T2DM patients to plan the dietary diaries and structured physical activities to slow down the age-related decline in health status and promote healthy aging.
