What is it about?

Measurement of the eye pressure (intraocular pressure or IOP) to exclude glaucoma can be helpful in patients who present with headache. The air puff machine is the most commonly used screening device to check IOP. The dynamic contour tonometer may be one of the most accurate ways to check IOP. When we compared the measurements for the two devices on the same patients, we found that the readings were quite different, with the dynamic contour tonometer, usually reading higher than the air puff.

Why is it important?
