What is it about?

Industrial wastes (e.g. coal biomass ashes, ferrous slag and water treatment sludge) can be used for strengthening geomechanical properties of soils and for producing waterproof materials.

Why is it important?

The developing of new waste-based applications for environmental geotechnical and environmental sanitation works is a sustaibale practices which allows the reuse and valorisation of wates, reducing negative environmental impacts and promoting the circular economy and the creation of new added-value waste-based products.

Perspectives

The results of the research published in this paper can be usefull for a better understanding of the possibilities and advantages of using industrial wastes for producing new waste-based geomaterials.
