What is it about?
Some pressure swing adsorption cycles comprise a pressure equalization step. The goal of the inclusion of this step is to save mechanical energy and to increase product recovery. The model presented permits to evaluate the equilibrium pressure analytically and numerically.

Why is it important?
The numerical and experimental results are in good agreement . Thus, the model used is reliable and permits to assess satisfactorily PSA cycle performances
Perspectives
Papers dealing with pressure equalization step between an adsorption bed and a tank have been lacking in the literature, so I hope this paper will contribute to clarify this issue.
