What is it about?
Automatic indentification of cardiac beats from fetal electrocardiography (ECG) recorded by placing electrodes on the maternal abdomen is challenging due to the high level of noise typically affecting it. In this paper we adapted to fetal ECGca popular algorithm for beat identification from adult ECG. Results are very satisfying.

Why is it important?
A tool that can be made available to everybody that could help identification of cardiac related pathologies affecting fetuses, who could be treated before birth.
Perspectives
A reference for procedure of automatic processing of fetal ECG
