What is it about?

A new isolated compound from a plant enedemic to Sri Lanka and its anticancer effects in breast cancer.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that this new compound is selectively cytotoxic to Her2 positive breast cancer cells. And inhibits Heat shock proteins and induces apoptosis, which has the potential to be developed in to a HSP inhibitor.

Perspectives

I hope with this research article it shows that there are many other anticancer potential compounds to be discovered from natural products.
