What is it about?

We show the synthesis and evaluation of new compounds designed as hybrids between eugenol and benzisoxazolinones as a new antifungal scaffolds.

Why is it important?

Our findings show new prototypes to be studied as antifungal drugs and these findings contribute to drug discovery, since fungal infections are an increasing risk and need new drugs more than ever.

Perspectives

We hope this paper may be used for other scientists as a starting point in the synthesis of optimized derivatives against fungal infections.
