Why is it important?

These findings reinforce the pathogenesis of COPD in smokers. In accordance with the GOLD guidelines that bronchial hyperresponsiveness is a factor in COPD in smokers. This research is very important because only a quarter of smokers become COPD. While the remaining 75% remain healthy despite smoking. The presence of bronchial hyperresponsiveness factor in smokers makes important factors that cause develop into COPD. Bronchial hyperresponsiveness is thought to be due to genetic and chronic cigarette smoke exposure factor.
