Why is it important?

This work is important because in the middle east and other parts of the world we have an epidemic of vitamin D deficiency.

Perspectives

I think that this study is adding much light on the vitamin D role in keeping joint integrity. The more we are deficient the more our knees will deteriorate. Maybe it is time to investigate every patient with OA to see if she will progress or not.
