Perspectives

My son died from SIDS- this paper is the final one of 3 which resulted from his untimely demise. Professor Don Harrison, a world expert on the larynx, initiated this work and showed the airway narrowing, not present in babies of a similar age dying from other causes. His excellent technician , Chris Brock then performed studies on the laryngeal sections showing alterations in mucus. Finally Qutayba Hamid underttok the immunological studies reported in this paper. My gratitude is to them all.
