What is it about?
We report the reactions of various indole-derived thiosemicarbazones with diethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and 4-bromophenacyl bromide leading to a series of new derivatives of thiosemicarbazone, thiazolidinone, and thiazole bearing an indole moiety in good yields.

Why is it important?
We synthesize two new series of highly functionalized thiazole-derived compounds. The pharmacological evaluation of these synthesized compounds is in progress.
