What is it about?
Protein profile from the liver from ten-week old diabetic obese db/db mice
Featured Image
Why is it important?
Ours results on the differential hepatic protein expression in diabetic obese db/db mice, suggest that dysfunction of metabolic processes of carbohydrates and lipids, coupled with alterations in protein metabolism, play a role in the pathogenesis of T2DM.
Perspectives
The results shown in this research might be used to select target molecules for the design and evaluation of new drugs for the treatment of obesity, diabetes and their complications.
