Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This compilation may be helpful to the medicinal chemists and drug developers in obtaining ideas regarding important structural features responsible for the biological activity which may be employed for rational drug design related to depression. Researchers can utilize these results as supporting evidences for the development of more efficient, potent and safe molecules to tackle depression-like complex disorders.
