We have studied the antimicrobial potential of Cissus incisa extracts. Their antibacterial and antitubercular activities were evaluated using microdilution and alamar blue assays; respectively.This is the first biological study at the extract level of this plant

This research contributes both to the knowledge of the Mexican flora, as well as the discovery of potential antibacterial agents derivate from plants.
Perspectives
This study was very important for us, since this plant had never been studied before. Although it is used in traditional Mexican medicine, there were no previous pharmacological studies that validated its use.
