This review paper mainly explain the synthetic schemes for preparation of Nitrogen and oxygen containing heterocycles and their biological applications.

Why is it important?
Nitrogen and oxygen containing heterocycles have broad range of biological activities viz. antiviral, antimicrobial, anticancer etc. Therefore, in this review paper we describe the green synthesis and biological activities of these heterocyclic compounds because these compounds are more dominant as subunits in many of the pharmaceuticals and agrochemical products, due to their intriguing capabilities
