What is it about?

Pyridine is a very famous heteroaromatic compound. We gathered different methods of fuctionalization of pyridine at rare sites such as 2,3 and 4-position via carbene intermediates. Also found their various applications in different fields.

Why is it important?

It was a very important topic also difficult to find such a methods in which pyridine is functionalized at rare sites. The uniqueness of our work is that we found the functionalization methods of pyridine at 2,3 and 4-positions such as metal activation and matalloid activation via carbene intermediate.
