What is it about?
The study aims to understand why lung cancer cells are resistant to TRAIL. GSK3β increases c-FLIP in these cells, which prevents TRAIL from working. The team investigated whether ITCH regulates c-FLIP through GSK3β during TRAIL therapy. Results showed that GSK3β regulates c-FLIP stability via ITCH and affects cell death induced by TRAIL in lung cancer cells.
