What is it about?
To synthesize 6-morpholino-3-(piperazine-1-yl)imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine containing amide and sulphonamide derivatives and evaluate their antimycobacterial and locomotor activities.

Why is it important?
The fatal forms of TB are multi-drug resistance (MDR), extremely drug resistance (XDR) and totally drug resistance (TDR) TB. In contrast, no novel drug discoveries against drug resistant pathogens (XDR and TDR) and TM were reported from the past 50 years except bedaquiline – active against MDR TB. So, there is a great need to develop anti-tubercular drugs with novel structure, selectivity, safety and effective than the existing ones
Perspectives
This article is a innovative one which deals with synthesis of active pharmaceuticals having anti-infection properties particularly TB and tuberculous meningitis. In addition, TB is a deadly disease suffering world wide. Hence this collaboration work provides future leads to anti-TB drugs.
