Why is it important?

The recovery-oriented mental health care approach is patient centered approach in care of people with mental illness. There is a need for people with mental illness to be part of their care. They deserve to be listened to and the recovery approach has the potential to change that for them if this approach is adopted and implemented in the african context.

Perspectives

This research is important for the mental health facilities, the health care workers and the users of mental health care services. I recommend it to the policy makers specially from developing countries. The paper is the voice of the mental health care service users and the health care workers.
