The importance of the study lies in the fact that it fills the research gap on the ASD in Ghana. The findings indicate a deficit in the knowledge of AS among the study groups, indicating the need to add ASD on the curriculum of nurses

This a article was a collaboration of two authors from different and varied professional background, stressing the importance of collaboration in publication. The findings have implications for hospital management, the ministry of health and other state holders in the health sector.
