What is it about?
In vitro and in vivo effects of different types of thioglycosides were thoroughly investigated. The obtained results were confirmed by studying the mode of binding by docking studies.

Our finding show that the inhibition of α-glucosidase is accompanied by an oxidative stress action.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to rare disease groups contacting me and ultimately to a greater involvement in rare disease research.
