This work had been designed to see if vitamin D deficiency had an impact on knee osteoarthritis or not.

This work is important because in the middle east and other parts of the world we have an epidemic of vitamin D deficiency.

Perspectives

Hassan Bassiouni (Author)

I think that this study is adding much light on the vitamin D role in keeping joint integrity. The more we are deficient the more our knees will deteriorate. Maybe it is time to investigate every patient with OA to see if she will progress or not.
