What is it about?
ZoonomiX is an open-source bioinformatics pipeline that analyses bacterial whole-genome sequences to assess zoonotic potential, detect antimicrobial resistance genes, investigate horizontal gene transfer, and identify mutation hotspots, supporting microbial surveillance and One Health research.

Why is it important?
ZoonomiX is important because it helps researchers identify genomic indicators of zoonotic risk, antimicrobial resistance, and bacterial gene transfer. It supports early risk assessment, microbial surveillance, and One Health research to address emerging infectious diseases and AMR.
Perspectives
ZoonomiX offers a One Health perspective by integrating bacterial genomics, zoonotic risk assessment, antimicrobial resistance detection, and horizontal gene transfer analysis to support microbial surveillance, research, and early identification of emerging public-health threats.
