What is it about?
HPV genotyping who live with HIV infection is different compared to normal people. More prevalence of mixed genotypes cases, more frequency of high risk types are seen in HIV-positive subjects. In addition, HPV infection is more probable to persist due to immuno suppression.

Why is it important?
In people who have HIV infection, HPV check-up should be routine, they should be immunized by nine-valent HPV vaccine rather than just bi-valent.
Perspectives
There is a dire need of national-scale study in the Middle-East countries, Iran included, to estimate the more precise number of dual infected people in the society, and their HPv treatment should be taken more seriously
